Commencement to be held May 10

The Mitchell Technical College Class of 2024 will graduate Friday, May 10 in three separate ceremonies at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.

The celebration will commence at 11 a.m. with students graduating from programs within the Energy Production and Transmission or Engineering Technologies divisions. Specific programs to be celebrated during the first ceremony include the following:

  • Electrical Utilities and Substation Technology
  • Natural Gas Technology
  • Power Line Construction and Maintenance
  • Utilities Technology
  • Wind Turbine Technology
  • Automation Controls/SCADA
  • Automation Engineering Technology
  • Information Systems Technology
  • Wi-Fi and Broadband Technologies

The second ceremony, for students graduating from programs in the Business and Service Industries or Health Sciences divisions, will take place at 2 p.m. Specific programs to be celebrated during the second ceremony include the following:

  • Accounting
  • Administrative Office Specialist
  • Business Management
  • Culinary Academy of South Dakota
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Small Business Management
  • Human Services Technician
  • Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN)
  • Medical Assistant
  • Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Medical Office Professional
  • Radiation Therapy
  • Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Nursing (LPN to RN)
  • Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

The day will conclude with a 5 p.m. ceremony honoring students graduating from the Agriculture and Transportation Technologies or Construction and Manufacturing Technologies divisions. Specific programs to be celebrated during the third ceremony include the following:

  • Agricultural Business
  • Agronomy
  • Animal Science
  • Diesel Power – Ag Power Technology
  • Diesel Power – Light Truck Technology
  • Geospatial Technologies
  • Power Sports and Marine Technology
  • Precision Ag Technology
  • Architectural Design and Building Construction
  • Electrical Construction and Maintenance
  • Heating and Cooling Technology
  • Machining and Manufacturing
  • Progressive Welding Technology
  • Welding Technology

Guests who are unable to attend in person will be able to attend virtually via a link that will be shared on the Mitchell Tech website and social media channels on May 10.
