Senior Building Maintenance Worker (Electric Shop) (Full Time)
Assist with the completion of construction projects that require an electrician and assist with maintenance and repair of electrical systems on the SDSU campus, including a variety of voltages; and maintain and repair all electrical systems on campus buildings and rural livestock experiment stations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of: Methods and practices of general building or facility maintenance; building construction; tools and equipment; and computer software applications and systems.
Ability to: Repair lighting systems; safety use tools; troubleshoot and diagnose problems; test electrical systems to locate problems; order replacement parts; run conduit and electrical wire; replace batteries, test and reset alarms; install lines, outlets and wiring for specialized equipment for both new construction and remodel jobs; read and interpret blue prints; lift up to 50 pounds; work from bucket truck, ladders, scaffolding or on rooftops; work in confined spaces; crouch, squat or crawl; climb ladders; and work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license is required. Electrical Apprentice License required. Compensation:
$11.81 - $14.77/hour, depending upon qualifications, plus benefits Benefits:
