Youth Development Specialist (Part Time)

Youth Development Specialist work in the day to day care of adolescents in a with emotional, behavioral and mental health problems. These individuals guide the youth through our comprehensive program mentoring and role modeling.

Position Details

Requirements: Must be 21 years of age Experience working in group care settings or higher education in Behavioral Science area or a combination is preferred but NOT REQUIRED Most be able to stand & walk for extended periods of time if needed.
Compensation: 10.50-12.00/ per hour
Hours: Full-time Youth Development Specialists are scheduled 30 - 40 hours per week 2nd shift (2:30 pm to 11:00 pm) with every-other weekend required (weekend shifts are 12 and 14 hour shifts) Part-time YDS are scheduled based on availability.
Additional Information: *Assisting and caring for others by providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support or other personal care to residents, *Implementation of treatment plans and special treatment programs, *May be asked to facilitation of community groups, goal groups, and psycho-educational groups as assigned. *Daily and appropriate charting of resident information, *Maintaining appropriate boundaries with residents (including physical, emotional, personal, and professional boundaries), *Acting as a responsible role model for the residents, *Must remain alert and aware at all times while supervising residents. Observe, receive and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.
