
On Friday May 10, Mitchell Technical Institute's Class of 2013 graduated during commencement exercises at the Corn Palace. 434 Associate of Applied Science degrees and diplomas were conferred during the ceremony.
This year's graduation speaker was W. Tom Simmons, Vice-President for Public Policy at Midcontinent Communications. The invocation and benediction was given by Reece Yeadon, MTI Student Body President for 2013-14.
Also, on Thursday, May 9, three men graduated from the only industrial maintenance technology program in the state. They received their diplomas in the program, which was formed by a partnership between Mitchell Technical Institute (MTI), the Regional Technical Education Center (RTEC), the South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation, and the Yankton Office of Economic Development.
