Driving Directions
From the East: Take I-90 Exit 332 and turn left (south). Go under the 1-90 overpass to the second set of stoplights. Turn left (east) on Spruce Street. Go over a set of railroad tracks.
- The Muth Electric Technology Center will be the first drive-way on your left (north) after the tracks.
- Continue east to the second driveway for the Campus Center.
- Continue east to the third driveway for the Nordby Trades Center.
- Continue east to the fourth driveway for the Energy Training Center.
From the West: Take I-90 Exit 332 and turn right (south). Go to the first set of stoplights after the exit. Turn left (east) on Spruce Street. Go over a set of railroad tracks.

- Continue east to the second driveway for the Campus Center.
- Continue east to the third driveway for the Nordby Trades Center.

Nordby Trades Center - Level 1
The amazing MTI Nordby Trades Center opened in August 2013. This 150,000 square foot building houses a variety of specialty classrooms and labs for the Construction and Manufacturing division and the Agriculture and Transportation division. There are also offices for the South Dakota Center for Farm/Ranch Management and the regional SDSU Extension center. It includes a large lecture hall and several comfortable lounge areas for studying or just hanging out with friends.

MTI has been notified by the City of Mitchell that beginning Thursday, May 17, the intersection of Burr and Spruce Street will be closed.
It is estimated that the closure will last approximately seven weeks.
We will provide updates as we receive them from the City of Mitchell.

Go under the 1-90 overpass and take the first left turn into the Highland complex, drive between the mall and the Comfort Inn, then turn right behind the mall complex. You will then be able to turn left onto Spruce Street and proceed to campus. Go over a set of railroad tracks. The Technology Center will be the first drive-way on your left (north) after the tracks. Continue east to the second driveway for the Campus Center. Continue east to the third driveway for the Nordby Trades Center. Continue east to the fourth driveway for the Energy Training Center
From the West
Take I-90 Exit 332 and turn right (south). Go to the left turn into the Highland complex, drive between the mall and the Comfort Inn, then turn right behind the mall complex.
