Hello Everybody; Many of you already know that the U.S. Department of Education is changing the process for administering Federal Student Loans. The Federal Stafford Loan Program will transition into the Federal Direct Student Loan Program on July 1, 2010. For students attending summer school, you can still receive disbursements for Summer and Fall terms through the Federal Stafford Loan Program. After that, all disbursements will be made through the Federal Direct Student Loan Program. The U.S Department of Education has created a great, new website for students and parents to go to for loans and other Financial Aid Processes. I encourage you to take a look at this website; www.studentLoans.gov. It is not only for students doing loans while in school, but you can also get a Pin number and go to the FAFSA website from here. You will need your pin # to access many of the areas of the website. It will also help you manage your student loan payments after you graduate and go into repayment. Congratulations graduates and we look forward to a great 2010-2011 with you returning students.
