Mitchell Technical Institute has canceled its public commencement ceremony scheduled for May 8, 2020 at the Corn Palace.
In anticipation of this cancelation, members of the graduating class were surveyed regarding their preferences. Class members chose to forego a formal ceremony this year and will instead receive a specially designed graduation gift box mailed to them, along with their diplomas.
Due to full-time employment that most students accept at graduation time, MTI will not be re-scheduling a public ceremony in 2020.
