Students in Mitchell Technical College’s Power Sports & Marine Technology Program recently received two additional training aids for their program.
Yamaha Marine donated two 1.8L HO Jet engines for use in training our students to be future technicians. Mitchell Tech is one of ten schools that Yamaha sponsors to support future marine technicians.
“Mitchell Tech and instructor Rayne Guindon operate the only Marine Service Technology classroom in the state of South Dakota. Yamaha is happy to support a program that supports their local marine industry and the Yamaha Dealer network,” Yamaha Marine Training Coordinator Kenyon Ward said.
Ward says the entire marine industry is short thousands of technicians. Donating training aids like this is just one way their company can support the growth of future marine technicians.
