MTI Agricultural Technology students and faculty will be seen all over the DakotaFest grounds as the 15th annual farm show runs August 17-19, 2010, in Mitchell. The popular farm and trade show as been a fixture on property adjacent to the MTI South Campus and MTI students have been a part of it since its inception. Students volunteer their time to work at the gates, help with parking cars, and volunteer at many of the service booths staffed by organizations such as pork producers, beef producers, and many more. Instructor Roger Carlson is overseeing the event this year along with three second-year students who are scheduling the more than 40 volunteers. Look for the camoflage t-shirts with the bold orange lettering and you will soon meet one of MTI’s dedicated “aggies.” DakotaFest runs 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday and Wednesday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Thursday.
