Mitchell Technical Institute instructor Dave VerSteeg was recently selected as the 2009-10 Teacher of the Year by the MTI Student Representative Board.
VerSteeg teaches the first-year electronics curriculum to students enrolled in the Satellite Communications and Telecommunications program. A 25-year veteran teacher at MTI, VerSteeg also serves as Division Head for the Engineering Technologies division.
The MTI Teacher of the Year award is given each year to an instructor who is nominated by any member of the student body and is voted upon by the Student Representative Board. Each student nominator must write a brief essay about why he or she has chosen to nominate that instructor.
