MTI recently received two national honors. The school was identified by BestColleges.com as the best online college for 2016 in the nation. According to BestColleges.com, “With over 1,200 public and not-for-profit universities offering courses online, the online programs at Mitchell Technical Institute have not only set the standard for distance learning in South Dakota, but for the country as a whole!”

But the accolades did not stop there. The technical school has also been named the #2 best community college in the nation according to SmartAsset.com. MTI rose from #4 in 2015 to its current spot. MTI tied for the highest graduation rate at 72%. Another factor that helped raise the ranking was the Institute’s 99% placement rate.
