A first-year Radiologic Technology student, Amanda Munderloh, West Point, NE, was recently selected as the student mentor for the South Dakota Society of Radiologic Technologists (SDSRT). As the sole student representative, Munderloh will attend state conferences for the next two years and will shadow board members to gain insight on their duties. She will also have the opportunity to attend the national conference in Albuquerque, NM.
The student mentor program is designed to give students a sneak peek into the functions of state and national professional organizations. The goal is to attract students to become active in these organizations after they graduate and enter their profession.
